About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Japan!

ABOUT US

We are getting married! But before we seclude ourselves behind our white picket fence, we are going once more into the unkown!

Japan has been on our wishlist for ages, mainly because everything is so very different from our own culture. We love trying everything from different food to different customs, and in our experience a place can only be truely known through it's locals, so we are very eager to meet you! We'd love to pick your brain about the local culture/food/history/you name it!

PHILOSOPHY

The third wheel on the cart just makes for an awesome tricycle! (platonically speaking, of course)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Limited! As we don't live in a very popular part of Holland (the North) and we're gone often, it's pretty hard to host.

But when we do go out for longer trips we love to meet some of you! In the Baltics we had a great stay at a very friendly couple's home, met with another couchsurfer for dinner and in Cuba Wouter got in contact with a couchsurfer, who gave him some very good advice as to how to approach the Cubans and their culture.

Interests

Linda is big on dancing, singing (very good, Wouter says), whistling (can't recommend it...), chatting and wine in the sun.

Wouter is a history buff, plays ukulele (a bit), looooves aircraft (he'll bore you to tears if you don't stop him in time. Linda will take care of this for you) and the great outdoors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A guy once gave Wouter a 500 dollar guitar 'because he wasn't using it anyway'. That is amazing.

Complete strangers have taken us flying/sailing/sea-fishing/on jobs/to their homes/to 'undiscovered' waterfalls/horseback riding/to beaches.

Amazing: north canadian forests. If you have ever seen one from a hill you know what I mean. There is still wilderness left!

A monkey trying to get a peanut out of a tube. Really. Youtube it.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is the part where people list what they can do in return, right? Can we be of service to you? Unless you have a health problem (Linda) or an airplane that needs flying (Wouter), we're pretty much useless. But I dare say we're good company ;).
