About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Back Packing through Europe

ABOUT ME

I'm a rational minded freethinker, I love meeting new people with different points of view. I would probably consider myself adventurous in the sense that I'm always drawn to new experiences, I hate living a static life.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe I have a limited amount of time on this earth and I intend to spend that time to it's fullest, and If I can by chance improve the lives of those around me I need nothing more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interests

I'm a total science nerd. I love all things biology, chemistry, cosmology, physics and more. I also spend a great deal of time studying religious history and philosophy. I find a great deal of enjoyment in outdoor activities, and I always enjoy a drink or two.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I often find myself in awe when it comes to nature, and no matter how much a learn about the world it just seems that much more mysterious, however that mystery always turns in to a mindgasm of understanding under the right conditions. I can think of at least 2 such times when I seemingly step out of my body through space and time. The first was during my first read through of the Ancestor's Tale, about midway through the wonderful book I realized the intention of the book it's understood evolutionary message. I momentarily stepped back in time through the foot steps of my forefathers, I saw them in my minds eye. Each and everyone of them struggling to survive, and it is these ancestors the represent an unbroken line from now until the earliest ages of the earth, between me and the very first organisms that we would consider alive. My second moment has to do with the vastness of space. Now as I continue to learn more about science I see the world through equations which may at first seem drawl and boring, but it is very keen way to show scale and complexity, so one night I was standing outside under a normal starry sky and when I looked up I saw a very normal star in a way that I could never of imagined before. I saw beyond just the photons passing through my eye and triggering the neurons in my brain. I saw the vastness of space and the through the lens of time. I saw not the star as it was but the star as it was millions of years ago, I saw it reach out and touch me, connecting to me through this narrow beam of light and I felt small. I felt small for only a moment because I knew that it was a star just like that one that gave birth to me and knowing that I was apart of the universe made me feel like nothing I had ever know before.
