ABOUT ME

Painfully awkward and absoluty fabulous (© my ex-roomate Ieva).
I’m an introvert, which means that I can be independent and don't mind being on my own; however, I like meeting my friends and getting to know new people. I like going to concerts and dancing till the morning; nevertheless, I would never call myself a wild partygoer. I'm very sensible and I always consider other people's needs and feelings.
When travelling I like to find out as much as possible about the place I'm visiting. I like walking around the cities to see how people live there, I like finding out how people spend their Friday/Saturday evenings, I like trying local food. The worst thing to do when travelling is eating at McDonalds.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted some amazing people, I've met even more people that were staying or just hanging out with my friends (quite a lot of whom participate in CS) and I've had the opportunity to meet some fantastic people while traveling abroad.

兴趣

I love music. I can't leave the house without my iPod. I love knowing stuff about musicians, about music genres and about subcultures that are closely connected to those music genres. I like history, documentaries, biographies. Of course, I enjoy travelling - I like to learn about other cultures, languages and ways of living.

Music: The Smiths, Morrissey, The Cure, many post-punk and new wave bands, many indie pop bands (mostly, 80s and 90s), shoegaze and dreampop bands.. I guess that my last.fm profile says it all in a more organized and precise way: http://www.last.fm/user/crimsoncure
Movies. I enjoy movies that are somehow connected to music and pop culture (High Fidelity, Velvet Goldmine, etc.) and I also love 80s coming-of-age movies (The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, etc.) or any 80s-90s movie that puts emphasis on 80s-90s fashion.
Books. I guess I have to confess that I'm not a very keen reader, but still I like books. Usually I pick up books that are either about music and pop culture (fiction and non-fiction) or books that are somehow connected to the music I listen to.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I hitch-hiked from Barcelona to Berlin. I went on Erasmus and lived half a year in Tallinn, Estonia. I've seen some amazing bands live, like, My Bloody Valentine, Deerhunter, Thee Oh Sees, Public Image Ltd. and Sebadoh. I've seen the Sex Pistols live twice (though, I'm not sure if it counts, because I'm 30 years late.. still, I'm going to brag about it to my grandchildren).
