Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to build up a network of people around the world that will help me to travel on a budget. wunderlust is a hard thing to contain, and yet is restrained by lack of loads of cash... Im working on it.
Interests
My interests are broad. I love the feeling of being alive when you find yourself out of your comfort zone, in a forign country, surrounded by the unfamiliar, and trying to either take yourself to it or bring it to yourself, walking through your thoughts, bringing out the kindness in even the most salubrious of people. this world is what i am studying but humans are the real subjects; in all your different forms you facinate me. and all that stems from us, music, art, cities, literature, cuisine, logic, emotions, social bonds and everything else!

Music, Movies, and Books
I am currently reading the Grapes of Wrath in some sort of Steinbeck fest and Kormac Macarthy's Border Trilogy in preparation for my American travels. I am a big Hesse fan, but i have rediscovered fiction after a long spate of reading solely academic literature, and it is very refreshing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When i left shcool at 16 i found myself in India. By chance i met a man i had been at school with by the ghats in Varanasi. Over a cup of chai he suggested we take a boat to see the sun rise over the city, but in the end we determined to see if we could buy some sort of craft. We found a man willing to sell us a small rowing boat that was painted blue and yellow. We took our vessel down stream for ten days and what we saw i hope to never forget. unfortunately however, as we arrived back in Varanassi, two ice cold beers, the sort with condensation dripping down the glass, went straight to our dehidrated brains and, quite pissed, we lost the only camera that had documented our journey. it means i like to tell people the story in order not to forget it.
