About Me

i live moment to moment. i'm interested in the silent spaces between the noise.

i make clothing in exchange for food, i live with four roommates in a communal home, i raise spider plant babies, my legs are my transportation and yoga is my practice.

life comes out of me, not at me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i've been the surfer and surfee and its always been good times. i'm so thankful for these life changing experiences and opportunities to share and laugh and live.

Oh CS I love you so.
In Edinburgh, Scotland it felt like I was running a small hostel, I had so many fun couchsurfers stay during the summer I lived there.
And in Europe I had many hilarious adventures with my hosts including sleeping on the beach in Holland for a night.

Interests

makin' friends, breathing, seeing beauty in everything, bliss...

loud noise, silence, natural spaces, music... dreaming, biking, stretching... yoga, meditation, feelin' good... making stuff, taking pictures, sewing clothes... veggie food, coffee, tea... laughing... and loving my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

all the good stuff ...

Books - Vonnegut, Lem, Bradbury, Orwell, Wyndham, Golding, Huxley, V.S. Naipaul, PKD, Joseph Campbell...

Movies - foreign, sci fi, and good ones, ie. La Collectioneuse, Blade Runner, Eternal Sunshine....

Shows - The Twilight Zone... YouTube vids of Robert Anton Wilson, Terrence McKenna and Alan Watts. I grew up without a t.v. and still don't have one so I can't play that game where we quote all our favourite shows.

Music - old-fashioned rock'n'roll, blues, roots, garage, surf, noisy stuff, trippy stuff... The Cramps, The Ethiopians, Daniel Johnston, CAN, Link Wray, Marissa Anderson, Talking Heads, The King Khan & BBQ Show, Ma Rainey, Mark Raymond, Chakra Balancing Meditations and all the Pebbles collections. And my friends' bands. And my bands. Right now I'm listening to R. Stevie Moore fairly exclusively.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Peru. Breathtaking landscapes, beautiful people, colorful traditions, delicious food, a variety of geography... Machu Picchu, Cuzco, Lima, Colca Canyon...
