Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world through the eyes of others.
ABOUT ME
Mike and I are a fun loving couple of nerds originally from NYC now living in Stratford, CT. He (27) likes all things to do with professional sports (especially MLB and NBA), magic card tournaments, poker, and KITTIES. Meanwhile, I (26) enjoy cooking, going to the gym, DOGGIES & KITTIES, traveling and reading in my spare time.
Although it is my condo, we do live together, so I figured I should put a line about him in here.
PHILOSOPHY
Through my life experiences thus far I have learned to not hold back and live life to the fullest and I feel the only way to do that is to travel the world and meet many unique people and learn many life lessons from them. I could agree with the statement by author Jodi Picoult that "The person you know the least is yourself" because honestly I do not know where I am going to end up but so long as I am warm, fed, sheltered and surrounded by friends I am happy. I want to understand what it is about someone's country that makes them have such a great sense of pride for it while becoming a better person through our encounters
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed in China and other US States. I have hosted people from Germany, France and the US.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS experience was in Shanghai with Zack and he was very accommodating. If most people believe in the system the way he did then I look forward to many more great interactions.
I have also surfed in Boston with Jesse.
I finally had the opportunity to host a few members since I have moved down to the DC metro area and have had a blast! Dave/Nils were amazing guests making their way down to Miami and stayed about a week. While, Joe although only here a few nights was still a great guy to chat with and I wish them all the best in their travels.

Music, Movies, and Books
I will listen to anything at least once or twice to see if I like it. I enjoy classical, rap, r&b, rock (all types), pop, techno, anything with a good beat that I can dance to as well.
When it comes to Movies I own over 500 but some of my favorites include Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, 10 Things I Hate About You, Bad Boys 2, Harry Potter Series (#4 the best), as well as some animated like Kung Fu Panda, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles etc. I will try anything artistic.
When it comes to Books I prefer mysteries, thrillers or anything that gets my mind thinking. Some authors that I enjoy are John Grisham, Jodi Picoult, Jane Green, Emily Giffin, Stephen King and many others.
My favorite all time book is - The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Other favorites - Siddhartha, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Great Gatsby and Makers of Modern Architecture.
