ABOUT ME

I work in the field of sexual health and rights, and HIV prevention. I'm currently based in the Netherlands, where I run a network of Dutch NGOs and do teaching, capacity building, and research on sexuality - mostly in East Africa.

When I'm not at work, I like: cooking, eating, wine, dark beer, reading, buying fresh organic produce, walking in the woods, visiting farms, drinking tea.

I also like reading books, getting up before sunrise, sleeping in late, drinking lattes in Ethiopia, sending mail, lighting candles, going to museums, swinging on swing sets, dancing, dressing up (both fancy and wacky), and traveling.

I also like talking to people - the topic of the moment for me is how to find/create a sense of "home" while living a very transient life. Any thoughts?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had some people stay with me, and am interested in going to stay with others. I travel a lot for work, so don't travel as much for fun - but hope I can meet you along the way somewhere!

(Note: when I started this CS account, I was living with my boyfriend... we're not together anymore, which is why some reviews refer to "them" and it now says I'm only one person!)

Algo increíble que he hecho

This last weekend, it was sunny and warm. I spent the whole weekend out in the sun, reading, drinking tea, chatting with a friend, walking, cycling... I think it was pretty close to perfection. I'd like to pay attention to these "normal" amazing moments more often.
