About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, explore, meet, feel welcome and be welcoming. Accept all and you can't go wrong from there.

ABOUT ME

Hello there.
People generally regard me as a very positive individual, and I'd like to remain so in the whole. I enjoy things that are a little out of the ordinary, hence you might find me here. I wouldn't say I'm shy to new people, I love meeting them and getting an insight into their lives. I love my wonderful group of friends, we are kind and welcoming and generally have a great time.

I would love to travel throughout the world, experience what it has to offer, but time and finances are usually the biggest restraints.

I am currently at university in my final year and uncertain of exactly what I'll be doing after that.

I'm also a vegetarian, although I don't mind if you are are or not (just something to notify for hosts).

PHILOSOPHY

I think life can be amazing, the world is actually wonderful and you have to accept that to experience it to a full extent.

People and music are a big drive for me, they can both unravel many things about yourself, and essentially make you who you are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only been a guest so far, but I've also gone to a couple of the meet ups in Slovakia and the United States which was fun. I plan to host when I get my own space.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used CouchSurfing primarily on a road trip I did with several friends across Europe. We stayed in many welcoming homes, from people trusting us with house keys which was very powerful of the community, to venturing out with hosts places - many enjoyed my right hand drive car in far eastern countries which made me smile.

It was such a wonderful journey, and made all the more memorable for the people that shaped it and got to share it with us. I loved the interaction with strangers, it was the best.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not an avid reader, but I do enjoy young adult novels, particularly from John Green. I get hooked in those books and have read most of the series.

Musically, my tastes are posted on this website: www.last.fm/user/WRRyan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My 8000+ mile road trip through Europe in 2013 with friends and strangers. It was such a great and wealthy experience, I am driven to take more adventures like it.

One of my friends made this 3 minutes video of some of her experience: http://vimeo.com/72698913
