About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to explore all of Europe, a little at a time, while I'm still reasonably young enough to enjoy it!
ABOUT ME
An old soul who keeps young at heart through a fierce passion for music, I am interested in exploring the musical and folklorical richness of Europe while satiating a tangential desire to learn more of history and culture. I enjoy reading, photography and playing either my guitar or my mandolin (they fight over me!), and I am interested in learning of kindred spirits worlwide.
My dream is to make musically-inspired friends wherever I go, sharing musicianship and ideas and broadening my understanding of one of life's greatest gifts of expression.
I am aware I may be a bit older than most of those whose company I would attract (because of this), but I'm not going to let that stop me! :-)
PHILOSOPHY
We do not stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing. You have an inner song -- share it!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music of all genres except bubblegum, rap, hip-hop and pure country, sci-fi and documentary movies & books, classic literature once banned ("Flowers For Algernon" by Daniel Keyes is a great read!), travel guides galore.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a leave of absence from work in 2006 to join a friend for a 5 1/2 week vacation/tour of eastern US as a performing musical duo. We saw a lot of family and friends, played a lot of cool (small) places, and while we didn't make much money, net costs for the vacation came close to zero. It is possible, if you're craetive...
