About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To stop saying I'm going to go traveling and actually go traveling

ABOUT ME

I've spent a lot of years talking about trips I want to take and things I want to do, but I never actually get out and do them. So in the next few months I plan to change all of that. I want to get out and explore and see and do and meet people and hang out and visit landmarks and see historic sites and eat amazing foods and swim in amazing water and just stop waiting for life to begin.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is everything. There comes a time when you have to just let yourself be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't currently host anyone as I live at home and there isn't space available. But I'm open to hanging out here and would love the opportunity to be hosted elsewhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Music, Movies, and Books

Very eclectic tastes in books, movies, and music. I read horror novels to review, classic novels for fun, and comic books because they are awesome. I'm working my way through the "1001 Movies to See Before you Die" list, as well as the amazing collection of mockbuster titles released by The Asylum. I love Florence + the Machine, Amanda Palmer, and Blue October, but like a lot of rock, pop, classic, country, and electronica as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in a horse drawn carriage accident when I was a teenager. It was scary at the time and I've been a little leery of carriages ever since. But I've grown to think of that experience as pretty awesome. How many people in this day and age can say they've never been in a real car accident, but they were in a horse drawn buggy that flipped over?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook pretty well, especially Asian style dishes such as fried rice and gyoza. I'm happy to pass those skills along. I know reptile keeping pretty well at this point too, as I have about a dozen snakes, tortoises, and lizards. I can also share my knowledge about those.
