Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host couch surfers in Hawaii a lot with my crazy bunch of roommates. Since leaving Hawaii, I have not hosted anyone, but I have thrown my way around a lot of couches. I mainly just meet people who enjoy meeting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couches I have stayed on: Bay window apt in Park Slope Brooklyn with Hawaii raised musicians; cozy couch in Boston University's trendy side of Boston, seeing Red Sox games and visiting real irish pubs; a USC frat house bed in South central LA, ghetto and fraternities collide; a surfer's beachside view in Ocean CIty New Jersey, where I surfed and worked on jet skis; a top floor penthouse in Fort Meyers Florida; and places in between

-lava flow into the pacific ocean
-my little Brother all grown up
-myself with skinny jeans and a mic in an 80's Rock Cover band called "Club 80s"
-the road to Hana (Maui)
-Road trips (LA, San Fran, San Diego, Mexico, Utah, Las Vegas, Arizona, Montana, Missouri, Florida, New York, Buffalo, New Jersey, Atlantic City, Ocean CIty, Boston, Franklin, Providence, New Hampshire, Texas, Hawaii, Maui, Big Island, Oahu, Waikiki, Chinatown, Kailua)
-New York City skyline on a rooftop with Whiskey and Friends
-Surfed 2 oceans
-Red Bull Flugtag
-Hollywood and the Movie Business
-A lake go from solid to liquid to solid
-Stood in a WWII bunker overlooking Kailua Bay on the east side of Oahu, HI
-ears pierced with my best friend
-Lived without a car nor care for one for the past 4 years
-Witnessed Aloha Movement Project's birth and progression (alohamovementproject.com/)
-Helped my buddy live his dream business BOOMTIME LLC (shopboomtime.com)
-Fixed jetskis up with my own hands, then surfed behind them in New Jersey
-Austin Texas music venues every 55 ft in any direction
-Skateboard down miles of park lanes through Utah's national parks
-Front flip into the first snow I've ever seen
-meteor shower on kailua beach in Hawaii
-scuba diving certification
-being apart of a 55ft double sail catamaran Australian sailing team
-outrigger canoes
-Surfing the Disney Typhoon Lagoon at 4:30 AM with real boards
-Jumping off of 65 ft cliffs, waterfalls and lava tunnels in one day
-spray painting an ongoing mural in Diamond Head
-Rode old time Trollies that have survived for a century
-Tubed down the Guadalupe River in Austin, for miles and hours, with mai tais and great company
-Surfed with dolphins, sharks, sea turtles, and eels
-I've seen the sun rise and set from both coasts
-(hopefully) will see my name scroll past in the credits of a Major Feature Film [life goal]
