I am Lena, a 26 year old girl who loves travelling, especially since I grew up in Germany, Spain and Portugal meaning that I am used to moving (14 times already!). I moved to Essen little over a year ago and started as trainee at a big industrial company.

I am here to meet interesting people from all around the world and to finally know how the Couchsurfing experience feels like!

And as newcomer to the region, I would be happy to explore with locals :)

My interests are very diverse ;-) Above all I love to travel, so learning about new destinations and talking about past ones is one of my passions. Also I love taking pictures although I know that my camera has a lot more potential than I'm actually using! Haha :-) still have to enhance my photography skills... And then I have tried a whole range of sports: soccer (10 years), tennis, swimming, yoga, kickboxing, spinning, car races, horse riding, jogging, surfing, diving, ... Whenever I find time, I like to read books and I like watching TV series (House of Cards, Breaking Bad, HIMYM, Gossip Girl, ...) and movies. Ah, and start-ups and crowdfunding also get me easily fascinated. Plus I like to spend evenings over a self-cooked dinner with some good friends and family, maybe with some table games and wine or gin tonic ;-)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the most amazing things I have done is taking 10 weeks to travel through Thailand and Myanmar all by myself. It was the most fantastic travel experience I had so far :-)

I can share my travel experiences and some language skills if you like :-) When it comes to learning, I am always curious. If you can, I'd love to learn more about photography and/ or Photoshop.
