About Me

CURRENT MISSION

SO MANY MISSIONS!

ABOUT ME

Always busy and starting new projects. Easy going and up for adventure. I've had dozens of different jobs in as many different places: cheese monger, yoga teacher, farmer, waitress, entrepreneur, teacher, organic butcher...you get the idea. Mostly I'm just interested in the human spirit, and I let that take me where it will.

PHILOSOPHY

"When you've done something right there is there is nothing left to say."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Both surfing and hosting have been some of the best and most serendipitous experiences of my life. I find that the randomness transports us (the host and the hosted) out of our more mundane and isolationist tendencies, and reminds us just how generous and welcoming we can all be.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and surfed on and off for several years now, even abroad! Have always had great experiences.

Interests

I want to live a full and honest life. Bike riding, book making, food growing, dinner cooking, ocean swimming fill my time. Social justice, access to food, and the future of community are why I get up in the morning. Currently pursuing a Masters in Science in Acupuncture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year helping to open a locally sourced butcher shop that bought whole animals from small farmers. Working so closely with farmers, education our customers about food and farm, and becoming a skilled butcher was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

I once saw a UFO with an old roommate on a nighttime farm walk! We'll always remember that moment together because nobody else will believe us :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking, yoga, sewing, knitting, gardening, grease car conversion.

What I Can Share with Hosts
