Aburi Botanic Gardens was established in 1890 and situated on the Akuapem-Ridge about 35 kilometres north-east of Accra along the old Accra-Koforidua road through Adenta. The Gardens covers an area of hundred and sixty (160) acres, but only thirty (30) acres have been develop into a formal garden with the remaining hundred and thirty (130) acres forming the botanical reserve. The Aburi Botanic Gardens is one of the most beautiful, serene and fascinating places in Ghana. The Gardens is one of the World’s 1,600 botanic gardens and between them grows a large array of plant diversity outside nature and receive over thirty five thousand (35,000) visitors every year.
Aburi Botanic Gardens have played many roles over the years; including plant introduction, teaching Horticulture, an agric station, and a refuge for Achimota Kindergarten during the Second World War, but today is one of the many institutions leading the fight to save plant diversity through;

(b) Growing endangered plant species
(c) Plant multiplication
(d) Horticultural training and environmental education
CONCLUSION
The prime focus of this interactive approach is to nurture love towards plants and build scientific skills in students. Through this approach, we aim to build skills, provide valuable information and introduce children to conducive environment to study, become aware and share experiences with others.
