ABOUT ME

Well, I have two great adult-age children who are fun and challenging to be around. My wife is very special and very spiritual, the latter quality being one to which I aspire and perhaps achieve on occasion. I was fortunate enough to be able to take early retirement, and I have done a lot of traveling to great places and have gotten to engage in some business activities with people whom I respect and like.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that we are all in this big crazy world together so we should help out others when we can.

Traveling is high on the list. My wife and I recently completed a two-year dream study program. Enjoy cooking and eating good food. See next section.

Am a big fan of alternative country, folk, and roots music, (Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Fred Eaglesmith, Alison Krauss, classic rock and some indie etc.) with some interest in certain classical music, including opera at times. Despite what my children may say, I don't try to push my musical interests on others though I do like to share what I enjoy with others and visa versa. Am not a big fan of Hollywood movies generally but enjoy some off-beat films. I don't often read the best-sellers but enjoy non-fiction reading probably more often than fiction.

Too many to recount, but becoming a father of two wonderful, caring children and being married to a loving and spiritually inspiring person are high on the list.

I think that many people are too quick to judge others on the basis of essentially superficial qualities (who the person knows, what their lifestyle is, how they look, how much money they have, what kind of car they drive, etc.). The joy of getting to know someone well is that they will like you and you will like them despite (or perhaps because of) each person's vulnerabilites and eccentricities.
