About Me

Hey,
I'm a 25 year old american who recently finished my master's in psych from the university of Groningen. I'm a relaxed guy with a wide range of interests and I'm down to talk about pretty much anything with anyone. I like music, food, art, and lots of other stuff, and I'm always trying to widen my horizons and experience new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always liked seeing new places, doing new things, and meeting new people. I'm on Couchsurfing because when I go somewhere I want to have the opportunity to immerse myself in what it's like to live there and to see things that are off the beaten path instead of the same tired tourist attractions, even if I may want to see those too.

Interests

I really think I can find a way to get excited about just about any interest. I listen to a lot of music, and am always looking to find more. I'm very flexible when it comes to events, and I would say I'm equally comfortable attending an art museum or at a wild party.
I like talking about politics, movies, music, books, or just whatever people are talking about.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a little bit of everything, but mostly indie and old folk/country. I also listen to a ton of lofi hip-hop beats (to chill study to).
My top three favorite movies are probably Amelie, Enemy, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
My favorite book is Catch-22, but ever since I read Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions I think about it all the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me and some buddies road tripped to Michigan from Georgia, and on the way there stopped to stay in Chicago. We ended up staying up all night and renting bikes so we could bike all over Chinatown at like 4 am. I felt like I was in Stranger Things or something, just me and my buddies riding bikes all through the silent city in the middle of the night. Life's too short not to have great cinematic moments like that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like hearing people talk about what they're passionate about. Anytime someone wants to share an interest of theirs with me that's important, I'm completely all ears. Likewise, if you ask me about something, I'll do everything I can to explain where I'm coming from and how I feel about that topic or my understanding of it. I wouldn't say I'm an expert on any one thing, but I like to have a working knowledge of lots of stuff.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can guarantee if we're talking you won't get bored, and I totally don't mind when people want to ask me questions about America or Trump or whatever. I can also introduce you to some sweet new music, and I'm sure after we hang out you'll have some great stories to remember.
