ABOUT ME

I hate 'all about you' sections. It would be a sad day when the human race is able to be described in a text box on the internet.

That being said, here it goes: I've never met a stranger, am a bed-wetting liberal, get along with most anyone, love meeting new people and trying new things. I am a 21 year old american college student--that being said i love to party, but i also love philosophy and theology and good conversations about life and politics. I am a music FREAK, love to travel (obviously), and i love mountains and both dogs and cats equally.

More current info:
Student studying Cultural Anthropology at Appalachian State University. Currently I'm in Trier, Germany on a study abroad semester. After this year I plan on applying for the Peace Corps masters program and work on my masters for Peace and Conflict resolution, hopefully at GMU. I plan on dedicating my life on peace/conflict transformation and community development through totally peaceful principles.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm very new to couchsurfing and only just started requesting people. At home i'd love to host but living in Nowhere, USA kind of hinders people wanting to surf with you ;). But while i'm in Europe i'm trying to get some experience so that when i go back stateside i can travel around using couchsurfing.

Interests

Lacrosse, partying, conversing about life, love, religion, and philosophy for hours, listening to music, traveling, learning about customs different from my own, living, loving, hugging, laughing, going beautiful places, doing awesome things--and all of the above with old/new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- This is literally a microcosm of what i listen to. I love all sorts of music, literally ALL, but here are my faves: Dave Matthews Band, Matisyahu, Dispatch, the Beatles, Florence and the Machine, Girl Talk, Slightly Stoopid, Bob Dylan, The Allman Brothers, The Avett Brothers, Modest Mouse... okay I have to stop before I get carried away...

Movies- Again, I like alll movies but here are a few favorites: Elf, Step Brothers, Snatch, The Butterfly Effect, Blow, The Book of Eli, V for Vendetta, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Pirate Radio, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Memento, Requiem for a Dream, Forrest Gump, Inglourious Basterds...okay stopping now ;)

Books-I like all philosophy/theology, fiction based on historical events, political fiction and non-fiction. Here are a few books: BFG, Night, Harry Potter Series, Screwtape Letters, Animal Farm, the Giver Series, Their Eyes were Watching God, To Kill a Mockingbird, Into the Wild, Fahrenheit 451, etc. etc. etc. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked down into and camped in Canyon Del Muerto, whilst on a week long archeological field school. Took a treacherous (seriously--one wrong step = death) livestock path. All of this happened less than 3 months after serious/semi-crippling health issue but i did it anyway and have never been more proud of myself!!!
