I'm just a small-town Oklahoman studying tropical botany in sunny Miami. I'm quiet at first, but I love deep discussions and hearing people's stories and passions. I love the outdoors, but I'm equally comfortable in a coffee shop surrounded by the rush of the city. I'm addicted to the internet, but I can easily disconnect and live in the moment with my friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am constantly amazed by the natural world. One of my best experiences was in the Redwood Forests of California. It was astounding to be around such old, beautiful, large organisms. Similarly, the tropical forests of Costa Rica were just as amazing, but in a very different way - more complex and busy.

I've yet to be really amazed by man-made things, but maybe that will change in the future...
