Hi! I'm Wynand and from South Africa! No, we don't go to school on elephants or have lions for pets...Sorry to disappoint ;)

I'm currently living and Teaching English in Fengyuan (just north of Taichung), Taiwan. I moved here in July 2017, so I'm still kind of new. I'm just starting off my traveling journey and am excited to meet new people that I can share my experiences with!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I'm on couchsurfing for three main reasons:

1. I'm new to Taiwan and will probably travel around here for a little while before visiting other countries. So couchsurfing will enable me to meet new people who can tell me about, or show me, awesome new things in Taiwan.

2. To meet new and interesting people!

3. Finding accommodation is expensive...

I'd say saving a baby from being run over by a truck was pretty amazing...

...But I'd be lying. That never happened.

One amazing thing I've done would have to be actually packing up my things and moving to a different country alone.
