I´m Xabi, from Basque Country but i´m living in Rome, Italy nowadays. I´m doing the Erasmus program in Italy, but i live in Hondarribia, Basque Country, Spain. I`m 21 years old.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a differente, alternative way to travel around the world and meet local people. I´m not interested in a tourist style, i just wanna get into the local life.

Interests

My principal interest is the nature. I just surf every day at Basque Country and i love going to the mountain or parks in the city. Literature is my other passion, i can not stay a day without reading something and i´m just started writing some things. Just starting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I particularly like hardcore music like Architects, Parkway Drive, Stick to your Guns, Saosin, Northlane; but also listen other types of styles.
Regarding to the books, i can not count how many i´ve read. I´m always reading!! My favorites authors are: Dostoevsky, Tolstoi, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Kapucinski, Joseba Sarrionaindia, Ramon Saizarbitoria...

I came from Basque Country, so principally i can offer my cooking skills and my mother language, the basque; one of the oldest languages in the world. I also discuss about the geopolitical situation and the political, social and economical situacion of the country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think that a gastronomical dinner could be the best to share each other our cultural traditions.
