About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Visit at least 1,000 countries. I know I can do it, wish me luck!

ABOUT ME

I worked for a fairly large company in Austin for about four years, two years longer than it took me to realize that I needed to work for myself. My life was gray. Rain on the panes. Now I am stricken with daily paroxysms of joy through owning a small technology company.

I'm politically active, volunteering as president of the local chapter of a national, socially progressive organization.

I believe in an uptime/downtime balance. When it's downtime I love watching movies, alone or with friends. I write for pleasure. I play games with friends. I love playing soccer, swimming, biking, volleyball, whatever. I adore sitting on a patio restaurant and enjoying the cool evening breeze with a glass of beer. I mean, who doesn't?

PHILOSOPHY

This section deserves more refinement than I have time to give at present.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read 3 or 4 books at a time so I'm constantly finishing new ones I like, so rather than tweeting the latest I'm going to tell you about the best book I have ever read: On the Road by Jack Kerouac. Have you read it? Seriously, if not, stop now and read it, then come back. Giddy? Good.

I also love Dead Poet's Society. "Carpe Diem", "gotta do more, gotta be more", "suck out all the marrow of life", it's all there my friends.

I sample new bands like they're on a free hors d'Å“uvre tray. Mainly indie, and it runs the gamut. I delight in going to see bands with a few beers under my belt. Dance, gyrate.
