About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To boldly go where several have probably gone before.
ABOUT ME
I'm a personable guy who likes to make things (leather-ware, clothing, food, etc.) I've lived several places in the US, and am hoping to do some more traveling outside of the country. I hosted my first couchsurfer on 5/20/2012 in San Francisco. My partner and I met him in person during Bay to Breakers, and brought him home that day.
I'm definitely a non-religious person, but I'm very accepting of others regardless of religion, as such is often a large part of the culture in a given place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've enjoyed hosting/surfing and I enjoy hanging around with new folks, learning about how others live, sharing my talents, etc. I also think couchsurfing is a model for how the humans should be treating society as a whole. Many are overly cautious, and even afraid of others needlessly. Most of us are good people who want to ilve peacefully. Really, it's true.
Interests
I'm very much interested in earthship building, biotecture, and permaculture, as well as boat building. For the past 5 years, I've been a leatherworker, making leather crafts for people and vending at many cafes in San Francisco, and on the Venice Beach Boardwalk in Los Angeles.
I'm getting into photography, and slowly learning to master my camera, who is much more intelligent than I. Travelling has really given me the opportunity to have a lot of fun with the camera.
I love books. I'm drawn into bookstores automatically, can't help it. It's a shame they're so heavy!
A few years back I discovered geocaching, which has been an essential part of fun-packed weekends for the past two months or so. Check it out if you haven't already! www.geocaching.com

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After couchsurfing for the first time in Iceland, I needed to get to the other side of the country for the workaway I had lined up. I had no money and limited time, but I hitchhiked 400 kilometers in five cars, and made it to Akureyri well before nightfall.
Countries I’ve Visited
Iceland, Ireland, United States, Viet Nam
