About Me

I'm a twenty three year old uh...writer.... (it sounds so cliche) who has recently set out on a journey to travel the United States (and eventually the world) looking for new people and new stories to take with me. I have always been a woman in motion--a gypsy, so to speak (without all of the negative things associated with that). I have recently battled a severe depression from which I have woken up to realize that the life I was living was not my own. I've left my job, my place, my things and I'm learning a new side of life.

Add me on facebook or instagram if you need proof that I'm a real person with real friends:

It is like this:

The first time you climb a mountain it is hard. It is terrible; it hurts. You might cut yourself or discover a different kind of pain, but once you get to the peak and look down at the vastness of the world you realize it is all worth it. I am currently climbing my mountain and it is a heart breaking journey fraught with tears and cold nights, but I have faith that when I get to where I'm going and I look down at the face of the mountain it will all have been worth it. After this, I will be indestructible (metaphorically of course).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing in hopes of making it through every state and living as freely as possible. I am American, but I don't know what that means. I suppose I am in search of a sense of "nationality" as well as a better understanding of myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I was born, so there's that! :)

So, I have one leg and I think the most amazing thing I've done is learn to walk again every day of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
What I can teach is perseverance. Everything in life is designed to stop me, and though I am not an "able bodied" person, I will ALWAYS find a way to get to the top of the mountain!

Learn:
I'm looking to learn everything- karate, tactical defense, how to make the perfect pot of rice, yoga...I don't care. If you will teach it I will learn it.

Share:
I will never know what anyone will take from meeting me. What we share with each other, despite the word itself, is a very individual thing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my stories and optimism. I can offer lots of laughter and understanding. I can write that story you've been dying to tell. I can share with EVERYONE the truth and that is simply that: you matter. Each and everyone of you.

Countries I’ve Lived In
