I live in rural France in the Massif Centrale. The countryside is untamed, varied and supports a diverse flora and fauna - which is why I chose to live here. I have two grown up sons who live and work in France and sometimes stay for extended periods with me. I have a dog who is a happy little Border Collie and a cat who puts up with us. I try to live sustainably and have solar panels, wood burning central heating and I get about on my bike locally. The house is large and I run an Airbnb flat from my second floor. The tourist season in Langogne is short and I occupy myself during June to September running the airbnb. Outside those months I travel if I can. I have a close friend who I have know since we were at primary school together and we are now travel buddies. We went to Mexico last year as well as hanging out in France, Italy and Spain. We hike and cycle as much as we can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been a member of Warmshowers for several years and have had some really lovely encounters. Sometimes the Warmshowers network doesn't extend to where I want to go and so I have joined Couchsurfing to find some new destinations and new friends.
