Hey. I'm Xavier, I'm an adventurer, physician and music lover looking to reconnect with my travel roots after a long hiatus from travel.

I work as a physician as my day job at home, but I love spending my free time checking out music, food and art venues as well as checking out historical sites and meeting new people.

I love animals (especially cats, which I have two at home), jazz, seafood and meeting fellow travelers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently got back into travel after ten years of catching up w the demands of modern life. Currently in Portugal to sample the culture and practice my Portuguese.

I'm hoping to use Couchsurfing.com as a way to meet cool people for drinks, coffee, or just hanging out. It can get a little difficult making friends in big cities, so I hope to use CS as a way to network.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked the Caminho Portuguese (Portuguese Way of Saint James) from Lisbon, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, Spain and Muxia/Finisterre for a total of nearly 711 kilometers alone. During this time, I managed to learn Portuguese and make some awesome friends along the way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I'm pretty agreeable and can make good conversation. I don't mind doing chores and helping our with tasks if help is needed, and love to really learn about other peoples' lives, stories and countries.
