ABOUT ME

I like sports (volleyball, swimming, diving, snowboarding, a bit of surfing).
I'm into photography (although I still have to learn and practice a lot).
I studied Computer Science at Ghent University. Studied abroad for 6 months (Taiwan, 2010-2011).
I've worked as a video analytics R&D engineer for FLIR, but quit to go on a RTW trip

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Michael Connelly's novels (fiction). Non-fiction: Marching Powder
Movies: not so many, but I liked Boyhood a lot!
Music: minimal/house/techno/groovy elektronic music, but I also appreciate Coldplay, U2, Paolo Nutini, Gabriel Rios and the likes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drift-diving to meet a mola mola! Or island hopping through the Philippines. Or studying abroad at National Taiwan Univ.
Skydiving out of an old Soviet helicopter in Cuba.
Our RTW trip in 2014-2015: 4 months through Peru, Bolivia, Argintina & Chile + 7 months through pretty much all of southeast-asia, including Taiwan & Myanmar.

Teach, Learn, Share

Photography (enthusiast with a special interest in the technical aspects).
Programming (websites - RoRails/HTML5/JavaScript, scripting on Linux, C++ or Java. Image and video processing, but that's very niche).
Dutch (mother tongue), English (professional proficiency I'd say).
