About Me
ABOUT ME
I want to see as much of the world as I can while I'm young. I love meeting new people. I try to laugh as much as possible.
My biggest passions involve food and criminal justice reform.
PHILOSOPHY
"A closed mind is like a closed book: just a block of wood"- chinese proverb
"See, when you stimulate your mind for one common cause, you see who's the real motherfuckers" - ODB
“Would you like to save the world from the degradation and destruction it seems destined for? Then step away from shallow mass movements and quietly go to work on your own self-awareness. If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.” — Lao Tzu
“Be like the sun for grace and mercy. Be like the night to cover others' faults. Be like running water for generosity. Be like death for rage and anger. Be like the Earth for modesty. Appear as you are. Be as you appear.”
― Rumi
"When you realize how perfect everything is you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky."
- Buddha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swam with bats at dusk on the Lost Coast in Northern California -
Kayaked through a bioluminescent bay in Vieques -
Tasted the first snow of the year in a stone quarried hot spring in Pemberton -
Traveled to a surrealist jungle and jumped into Las Posas in the mountains of Xilitla -
Built a snowcave (and slept in it) in British Columbia -
Mountain biked the "most dangerous road in the world" in the rain outside of La Paz -
Ate my way through the city in Penang -
Teach, Learn, Share
I often go beyond what is comfortable and familiar because I never want to stop learning. Learning about myself, learning how to be more adaptable, more flexible, more independent, learning who. Discovering new joys in the world.
I have taught both English and Spanish. I can understand a great deal of Portuguese. I would love to improve my French and Italian!
What I Can Share with Hosts
