About Me
Hi there! My name is Mattia, I'm Italian but I live and work in the Netherlands. I'm back to Couchsurfing after a few years as this August (2018) I'll be travelling to Patagonia with my dad. He's retiring this summer and always had the dream of travelling to Patagonia so I'm bringing him there! I'd love to have him experiencing my favourite way of travelling, which includes hostels, a backpack, but most important: meeting lots of new people from different cultures who could show us the real and less touristy side of the end of the world.
Briefly about me: I'm a friendly, kind and good-mannered guy. Eager to learn and discover, to be inspired and to meet inspiring people. I like to find out to be wrong in order to learn new perspectives.
I travel a lot but nowadays mostly for working reasons and I look forward to go back to a more genuine and adventurous way of travelling, for the first time with my dad.
My philosophy? Be not inhospitable to strangers, lest they be angels in disguise
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As mentioned above: it's the best way to experience a place, any place, discovering its most genuine and real side and learning people's traditions, habits, food, languages and so on.
I've couchsurfed in Europe but I especially enjoyed in Southeast Asia, where amazing people have welcomed me in their families and lives with incredible openness. By far the most special and rewarding experiences of a 5-month backpacking trip in the area.
