Hi! I am Xiaoyue Chen. I am from China, and I am a PhD student studying computer science at Uppsala University in Sweden.

I started to travel independently when I was 17. I became very interested in different societies. Talking to the locals and learning about their lives helps me understand the world.

Interests

Hiking: I hiked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal.

Scuba diving: I am an advanced open water diver with more than 60 dives.

Photography: I have an album of North Korea photos taken by a Leica M3.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't done it yet, but I plan to ride a bicycle all the way back to China from Sweden after I finish my PhD.
