Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living the questions.
ABOUT ME
Sometimes I spend the day reading a lovely book or three, sometimes I go for spontaneous midnight walks and sing my favourite song, sometimes I wish I was an octopus with the ability to hug all my friends at once, and sometimes I cook myself a feast, go to the park and be happily self-indulging. I love adverbs and interesting conversations.
PHILOSOPHY
"I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart." Anne Frank. Words to live by and live up to day after day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfed couple of times and was pampered with deli-food/debated life and love/ended up moving into a flat with two adorable kittens. Hosted a handful of times and did fun explorations/scored a bike/shared some mean pasta. Always got to know some lovely people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been wonderful so far. Always educational, very humbling (in a good way!), highly entertaining.

Music, Movies, and Books
Le petit prince, the unbearable lightness of being, spirited away, Frank Sinatra, before sunrise, Fiona Apple, Stoner, Caravan Palace.
i have a sweet spot for sad stories, sad colours, and sad songs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Conquering 3000m of altitude in stairs at Emei-shan in Southwestern China. Volunteering at an orphanage for Burmese refugee kids in Northwestern Thailand. 15000 kg of rice as travel companion in a bus seemingly made of wet cardboard in South Laos. Five days of getting soaking wet during nationwide water-fight in Myanmar. Sunset at Shwedagon Paya, Myanmar's holiest site planted right in the middle of Yangon. Hitch-hiking with a nun in Germany, and chit-chatting with an ex-princess' husband. 21 hours of non-stop bus riding at 5000m altitude in Yunnan and Sichuan, China. Riding a bus across barren land with a dark night's sky and stars guiding our way in East Morocco. Sunrise in the Sahara, Erg Chebbi, Morocco. Magical.
Teach, Learn, Share
I suck at cooking but have a sweet thumb, so if you're up to baking cookies, muffins and cakes count me in! Also, I could teach you some Chinese, Dutch, and German. And drawing. And haggling, and theories of collective action, and how to day-dream.
I love hearing about other people's stories and thoughts. Thoughtful dialogue is one of my favorite pastimes. Also, I want to learn how to play the Ukulele and scuba diving.
