About Me
Hello! I'm Ximena (he-meh-na). I love my freedom, to travel and meet new people, with different points of view and backgrounds, and to have interesting or silly conversations (i'm good with both). I'm constantly laughing, i believe in good energies and treating others the way you wanna be treated.
I'm creative, love listening to music, painting, dancing, and photography. Adore going to museums, art galleries, to walk everywhere, old books, thrift shopping and a good beer.
My instagram is ximenachirinos5
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea of meeting people who live in the city/country I'm visiting, and have the perspective of someone who is not a tourist. I usually put myself in situations where I have to leave my comfort zone, especially because I am a little shy and honestly, what's better than to meet new people, have fun and be spontaneous.
Like everyone else here, i'm just trying to see the world, make new friends, learn about them and share experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like Phoenix, The Smiths, The Drums, Yellow Days, Matt Corby, Tame Impala, Alt-J, Yeasayer, Bon Iver, among many many others. Mostly alternative rock and indie but I'm pretty open when it comes to music.
My favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (its the first one that came into my mind). Love all Lord of the Rings, Into the Wild, Good will hunting, Pride and prejudice, etc.
Rayuela (Cortazar), Anna Karenina (Tolstoi), Ensayo sobre la cegera (Saramago), etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going up by myself to Machu Picchu at 6 am, to watch the sunrise.
Eating McDonalds at an empty Time Square at 4 am.
Quitting my job, buying my flight ticket to Europe two weeks prior to the actual trip, and embarking on this journey on my own.
Making the decision i wanted to move countries a week before actually doing it (as you can see i'm pretty spontaneous haha)
My whole Eurotrip was incredible, but i'll save some stories for another time ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am considerate, empathic, organized and friendly. I don't cook peruvian food but I can try (if I intoxicate someone, it's not my fault).
