About Me
I’m a singer/songwriter and restaurant influencer. I was born and raised in China(Chinese passport holder), but I studied in Los Angeles for 6 years, I have dual degree and I traveled more than 150 countries by myself. I don’t drink and I don’t smoke, either, also not interested in night club.
I’m a meat lover, but I can also eat vegetarian food with people who are vegetarian. I don’t like kebab, only like pure meat. I don’t eat any sour food such as: Tomatoes , pickles, vinegar, lemon. I can’t suffer any sour sauce like: Ketchup, blue cheese, some of the sour white sauce. But sour drink I don’t mind. 😂Not a fan of Turkish coffee and espresso, but I love juice and coffee latte.
I respect every culture and different religions, also understand people who grown up under different cultural background will have different political stand, you can fell free to communicate with me about anything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
PLEASE READ 🌹
To all the hosts:
I would like to make everything clear before we meet, so we can reduce unnecessary misunderstandings.
First of all, thanks for everyone who offered to host me, right now I’m on a graduation trip. It’s been more than 2 years since I started this trip (Started from June14th, 2022, none stop). As a female solo traveler I prefer private room, it will be my first consideration. I would like you to send me the room picture if it’s not showing up under your profile(There were some hosts offered me to stay on the mattress in the office, hall way…even on the floor… 🙈I left after I saw those places… so I think send me the picture before I come is a better way to save both our time).
I understand some hosts don’t like their guests to stay at home alone, but I might not be able to get up really early to match your working schedule. So if you need me to stay outside when you go to work and let me in when you go back home, please let me know the exactly time when you offer to host me. I had a host kicked me out at 7am and ask me to go back after 10pm, I don’t want to suffer this again.
If you willing to host multiple surfers at the same time, please make sure you have enough space to host me before you send me hosting offer. One of my host offered to host me and the other 2 girls at the same time, I never been noticed that there’s only one sofa left for me which was not even long enough to sleep. I could have choose other host if he tells me in advance.
I’ve been 51 African countries, and I know in some places, using bucket water is common and usual. But for me, I take quick shower every morning, and I figured it’s hard for me to use bucket water. So if your place doesn’t have running hot water for shower, please don’t offer to host me. It’s just my personal habit, please don’t get offended.
If I sent you request and you cannot host me, don’t feel embarrassed, just decline my request please, some host saw my request and ignored it, not accept, not decline, this way will make me keep waiting and hard to make the following plan. If there’s no private room in CS I will book hotel or guest house from Airbnb, the earlier the better, so I will have more choices.
To all the surfers who ask me to hang out:
If you offer to pick me up, show me around, or invite me for a meal, I’ll consider it as a free offer, PLEASE don’t try to show off in front of other people and ask me to pay you back afterward. If you want me to share the gas money, split the bill for food, make it clear from the beginning please.
How did I start Couch Surfing?
I traveled a lot before Covid. I used to book hotels and Airbnb only (Booking Genius level 3, Airbnb has 71 reviews shows up in my photos), I don’t stay in hostel, because I can’t sleep in the same room with too many people. I registered Couch surfing in 2019 but never used it, 😂because I thought “Couch” surfing means I can only sleep on the couch.
I started to use it since July 2022. After I booked the last minute flight ticket from Iceland to Greenland, I noticed that all the hotels and Airbnbs were fully booked until the following year, so I downloaded CS back. I didn’t find any host in Greenland but received host offers from Iceland and I started using it.
After traveled alone for several years, I feel lazy to research and plan everything, also feel lonely sometimes, I’m appreciated when local people show me around, tell me the situation about their countries, or gave me some local tips or suggestions.
