About Me

I'm an introvert but once I get comfortable with you, I can be very talkative and you might not be able to stop me from talking. :P I can be quite sarcastic at times but, generally I'm nice and friendly.

I have stayed in Japan & China for a while when I did my exchange program years ago. Thanks to AIESEC & CS, I have more family members all over the world now. I believe that languages can help me to connect with people and understand the people more as some of them doesn't speak english and it's impossible to speak with them in english. Hence, I learn foreign languages. With this, I can interact more with the local people and understand them more. I started to fall in love with backpacking with my first experience at China and HK. I enjoyed meeting people from different culture and background and that inspire me to travel more. I had learn that to understand a country better, I have to get in touch with the local and do what the local do and I enjoyed that very much. I believe that this community can help me and help me to help others to accomplish the same goal!:)

p/s: I have very sensitive nose & I'm allergic to smokes. To make myself sound even uncool, I'm allergic to alcohol & caffeine too. Hence, don't feed me alcohol if you don't wish to see me acting like a monkey in front of you. :D Fyi, I'm fine with chocolate though.

I love this quote from Harun Yahya and I always keep it in my mind.
I wonder why birds choose to stay at the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth, then I ask myself the same question. - Harun Yahya

I'm still in the journey of searching myself, to have a better understanding on what I really want and see where will this journey leads me! It's going to be challenging and hopefully it's not boring! :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To understand the world better. One thing I learned when I travelled is that the world is not like how we visualize until we have stepped into the country/city. I gain more understand when I get to socialize with the local.

I met my first CS friend when I was in Bangkok and surfed my first couch when I was in Saigon during my uni days. I surfed mostly at SEA as I spend 90% of my time travelling in this lovely region.

I think CS is not only about making new friends but also to live like a local in a short period of time. I love my CS experiences as it gave me a different definition for travelling!

Interests

Travelling, photography, music and reading.

Music, Movies, and Books

I dont restrict myself to any type of books/movie/music but I don't watch horror movie as I'll suffer from a week of nightmares. I listen/watch/read everything and learn to love them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Complete The Great Wall!
2. Survived 18 hours China train ride with no toilet breaks!
3. Swam in South China Sea!
4. Met Richie- The alpha male in Sarawak.
4. Started to travel solo and I'm loving it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you everything you need to know about Malaysia. Some people still thinks that we live on trees but we don't! Malaysia is very different especially when you travel from the west to east. I can also tell you about the indigenous community and native people here in Malaysia if you are interested in them. I can cook simple chinese meal & I still thinks that my steam moist choco cake is the best!

About language, well, this is a tricky part. I can teach you bahasa malaysia, mandarin, cantonese, thai and a little bit of japanese language. I can speak a bit of hokkien/hakka dialect but my mind needs more time to process the language. :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything about Malaysia. I can help if you are interested in the countries I've visited. I can teach a few asian languages and also cook simple Malaysian meal.
