About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My girlfriend and i just started a vegan business here in Kiel. It's a vegan café with burgers, cakes, and snacks, check it out:
www.cafeblattgold.de

so that's our main and current mission now :)

ABOUT ME

i love music (punk, hardcore...), cooking, reading, watching movies... i don't like to party a lot and rather stay at home with a hot cup of chai and play the harmonium :) or cruise along in my car - that's more fun to me than clubbing...

i'm vegan and straight edge for a lot of reasons... i strongly believe this world could be a better place without animal products and drugs (yeah, even alcohol and cigarettes)..

i love the idea of couchsurfing... it's a good idea to collectively share a privilege... so i'm always glad if i can host someone... cuz i know how great it is being hosted... that's it for now :)

PHILOSOPHY

pheeewwww... this is quite hard... anyway, i'll try:
be the change that you want to see! start with yourself. but then encourage others! find your way, always question everything... and follow your heart!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

in most cases i hosted people. that was always awesome - i met some of the most interesting people, learned a lot about their countries, their homes, their culture - and even met some of my best friends.

travelling through california in september 2010, i was hosted by some of the most awesome and hospitable people i ever met.

i'm really convinced that couchsurfing is one of the best things on the internet and it actually makes travelling much more interesting because you actually get to meet people in their homes and live with them for a while. i really love both, hosting + being hosted by people and i recommend couchsurfing to everyone!

Music, Movies, and Books

music:
i basically listen to punk and hardcore. and some pop, country, trip hop,... and ROXETTE!! :))

my favorite books are the BHAGAVAD GITA, all books by bret easton ellis (especially glamorama and american psycho) and authors like bukowski, kracht, goebel...

favorite movies? i like aesthetic movies with a subversive or emancipative message such as "the labyrinth of the faun", "snowpiercer", "sucker punch" or even "the hunger games".

these are just a few of the things i like - i could write endless lists about wonderfull books, movies and music... :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

traveling is always amazing, things just start happening. i can't even describe the wonderful time i had traveling. hmm.

the most amazing thing to me at the moment is the vegan business that i started together with my girlfriend. we are selling vegan deli stuff and cakes at the farmer's market - after working several jobs that never fulfilled me, i finally feel like i'm doing something useful.

Teach, Learn, Share

teach: vegan cooking, vegan baking, guitar, drums, old indian (vedic) philosophy...

i'd like to learn kurdish :)
