About Me

I worked in Yosemite National Park in 2016 after I graduated in Malaysia and worked as a camp counselor in Maine in 2018. I travel alone at least once a year and a few other trips with my friends and family to different counties. But stopped for 2 years due to Covid.

I then moved from Malaysia to Seattle, Washington 11 months ago after Covid for a job and love being in WA.

Fun fact about me: I got detained and was being questioned at the US immigration once because I traveled to the States too much 🤷🏻‍♀️

PHILOSOPHY
Nothing is impossible, it's the willingness to try and believe in yourself.
Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve heard some interesting stories from my cousin as a host 12 years ago and always been wanting to try it after I graduate.

Interests

If traveling was free, you would never see me again. I’ve always been a city girl since young but Yosemite changed me and my life. I climb indoor and outdoor, love hiking, eating, watching action movies and I enjoy deep conversations. I always have my camera with me when I travel, not a professional photographer, still learning and I love taking photos of the night sky!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kinds of music but listen to pop songs the most

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participate in couchsurfing.

Started my own online business when I was in college and being able to support myself financially for all my travels except for tuition fees.

Jumped off the light house.

Climbed half dome cables in Yosemite.

Skydived in Chicago.

Solo traveled in United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain and Mexico.

Learned how to ski in Melbourne, Australia; learned how to snowboard in South Lake Tahoe, USA; learned how to surf in Puerto Escondido, Mexico

Rock climbed, bouldered and hiked in Yosemite National Park for 2 months.

Bungee jumped at Whistler, Canada.

Traveled to Mexico alone without knowing how to speak any Spanish.

Got myself into therapy. It was life changing

Teach, Learn, Share

I love meeting new people during my travels and listening to their life stories and sharing mine too. One of my favorite couch surfing experience was talking to my host for hours about his life as a parent and I learned so much from him about how to talk my parents into accepting my dreams to be on the road.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Work and living experience in Yosemite National Park, life as a camp counselor, life as an Au Pair, my solo travel experiences and Malaysian culture.
