Born and raised right in the middle of China. Used to stduy literature and now seems more like a social science student (?). Film goer. Story lover. At the age of not knowing the exact direction to go but quite sure it will be worth seeing and experiencing more.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Before 2016 I never set my foot outside of mainland China. And unfortunately in most of my trips, I followed typical tourist patterns, buzzing around, catching up the schedules and easily losing interest of travelling becasue what I did was actually no good for relaxing or entertaining myself at all.

However, things started to change after I came to Ireland. It is for sure that I am here for a Master's degree, but deeply in my heart, I would say that I am actually doing that sort of so-called culture experiencing, which is much more vivid and appealing than any book can tell ( hopefully my director will never see that, sorry (*/ω＼*) ). I find out that it is easy for me to get tired of Top-rated tourist attractions, but new people I meet during my journey will never make me feel bored.

Right now I am pretty sure about the best part of travelling for me is meeting new people and getting to know them through their life stories. And this idea seems to share the same value of couchsurfing.

I don't really into a specific kind of music or books. I listen to music which matches my mood and read book which seems good (in most cases, depends on the designs of book covers. _(:з)∠)_).

But speaking of films...

I LOVE FILM.

When I find anyone in this area interesting, what I am very likely to do is to watch all his or her works following the timeline. The most recent one I nailed is Pedro Almodóvar (amazing), and the one I am chasing after right now is Yimou Zhang -- I think I will call a halt in the middle of his career so don't worry. But he is amazing at beginning, especially considering the time he started his early works!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I was walking down the street the other day late at night when I heard someone walking towards me, crying. I turned back and found out that there was a girl making her way out of the crowd, tears running down her face. She stopped her walking when she was about to approach the place I stood. Then I walked to her and managed to calm her down, by chatting with her and giving her hugs. It turned out that I was the only one who came to her and asked "are you okay" that night after about 30 minutes' walking and weeping.

I'll always remeber that night not because how dramatical the whole thing was, but because I felt myself so fresh and powerful after offering 10 minutes' simple talk to her. I was helpful to someone, at least at that moment, and I genuinely felt grateful to her for confirming that part of my heart.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

My mom is a good cook. Although she used to destroy me easily in the kitchen, I learned some of home recipes. After this year's practice, I can eventually be confident enough to say that I can cook well. But still, I am willing to learn more about cooking and share what I know about cooking.

I studied Chinese language and literature before, so I might be able to show you the beauty of Chinese culture in this way.

I am still learning about everything so I don't dare to say that I have loads of interesting life experiences to share, but I am pretty sure that I am on the way to collect them.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

My friends always say that I am pretty sensitive about nature and uncommon things in common life. I say I take that as a compliment. Things only get way much funnier when I try to deal with them with my friends. I can't make it all by myself, neither can I make most of my essays done without chatting with them. They are the greatest inspiration of my life.

I am more than happy to chat with you about some of my observations and maybe even some crazy thoughts, in exchange for some even more brilliant ideas that I've never heard before (pretty sure you have that).
