Hello everyone :)

I'm an English teacher, currently living and working in Paris, and I enjoy travelling a lot, which is probably the case for anyone who registered on this website :

I am quite easy going, I enjoy going out, eating out, going to the movies, and partying (moderately). I love learning and speaking new languages even if I'm not always good at it, so forgive me in advance if I try to speak or write in your native language and get it all wrong.

I've grown up in a small town in Normandy, the most beautiful region in all France (not being very objective on that one) but I quickly realized I was not to stay there forever... thanks to my studies, I ended up living in Glasgow (Scotland), in Strasbourg (Eastern France), and then in Morgantown, West Virginia (USA). Now I've kinda settled in Paris for 4 years... and my current job allows me to go on holidays quite often, which is the best thing ever.

I love movies, rock n roll, playing the guitar, cats AND dogs, and I enjoy a little rush of adrenaline (bungee jumping anyone?)... but there's nothing like taking my backpack and getting on the road, not knowing where I'll be on the next day.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have been registered on couchsurfing for years now, but have used it very little since.... I met some nice folks in Bangkok thanks to a couchsurfing event there, and I actually slept on someone's couch for the first time last April... but I'm always up to welcome anyone in Paris, if my schedule allows it.

So I'm not the most experienced "couchsurfer" in here, but, come on, how could I not be registered here? #backpackersfamily

My favourite artists include mostly metal or rock bands such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Dream Theater, the Beatles, Judas Priest, Slayer, Gojira, Hatebreed, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Dylan, Allman Brothers, Anthrax, Jimi Hendrix, Puscifer, Tool, Santana & Joe Bonamassa.. and also Eminem (which is not really rock I know, but he rocks nonetheless). I also have a thing for Björk.

I am currently re-reading the Lord of the Rings (coz I read it in French long ago, but never in English... :O) as well as 5 other different books at the same time....

Does reading "War and Peace" entirely (and loving it) count as an amazing thing? :)

Or else, I've done a whole tour of Scotland in 12 days, including Shetland, Orkney, Lewis & Harris and the Isle of Skye. I can name at least 12 different scotch whiskys. Maybe recognize some of them by taste.. but I'm not so sure about this.

Travelled for about 6500 kilometers in China in a month. Went up 4 different mountains there.

Oh! I got a LASIK operation which is pretty amazing since I've never even been able to touch my own eyes to put contacts on....
