About Me
ABOUT ME
Easygoing, respectful, adventurous, curious.
I absolutely LOVE to travel, as I'm sure most couchsurfers do. My favourite place I've been is Ecuador, where I spent 4 weeks on the Galapagos Islands swimming with sharks, sea turtles, and sea lions. Travelling to Ecuador is what inspired me to learn Spanish, and I have conversational level speaking skills and even better writing skills. I love to read mystery/thriller novels, as well as the occasional cheesy girly book by the beach. I also love to learn about different cultures and experience different ways of life. Growing up near Toronto, I lived in a bubble until I was able to afford travelling on my own. I want to experience as much as I possibly can now while I'm still young.
Some example items on my Bucket List include:
- Stand on the equator (✓)
-Ride a camel through the desert
- Sky dive
- Scuba dive
- Watch a play on Broadway (✓)
- Camp on every continent
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just graduated university and got a degree in Environmental Science and am looking to travel the world on a budget. I am only surfing right now, but plan to host in the future when I actually have a house/apartment. I am an excellent English teacher if you're looking to improve your skills and I am always interested in learning new languages. I especially want to learn more Spanish!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed in Iceland, South Korea, and down the East coast of Australia
Interests
I love to learn about culture from around the world, and appreciate spontaneous unplanned adventures. I enjoy a drink, but if I'm on a budget or have a quiet host I will happily abstain.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love electronic, alternative, acoustic, and folk music the most, but I do also love the occasional rap or country song! My favourite book is Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut (my absolute favourite author ever) and I have a tattoo of one of the lines from the book. I think Vonnegut was an absolute genius and he is one of my heroes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming with hammerhead sharks, sea lions, and sea turtles in Galapagos is my most amazing memory. I also loved watching the sunset in San Antonio, Spain.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my stories, and some Canadian maple candies! (If I haven't eaten them/given them all out yet)
