ABOUT ME
Busy with work and living with parent so can't really host, figured I'd finally update this. :)
Hi there! (I use far too many exclamation points in life.)
I'm Julia!
I am bicultural and bilingual, having always split my life between the U.S. and Brazil.
One of my favorite things to do is walk. In New York, I almost always choose walking over taking subways -- I like to see how neighborhoods blend together, and I feel like subways really alienate people from the process of getting somewhere (though, I must admit, I really love them in the practical sense).
PHILOSOPHY
"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder."
"And they say there is no fate, but there is: it's what you create."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Had great couch surfing experiences in Ireland a few summers ago! Prior to that, pretty much nothing except a surfer here and there hosted by another one of my housemates. (Used to live in an awesome 20 person co-op.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Free Rolling Stones concert in Copacabana at age... like... 12 or something. Over a million people. Almost got swallowed up by a pulsating crowd. (Literally could have jumped up and been held up by the amount of people that surrounded me.)
Teach, Learn, Share
Baking vegan (or not vegan) challah!! Portuguese!
