About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Climb, hitchhike, yoga, taste, and love.

ABOUT ME

I love life. When the going gets tough, sometimes I may forget that, but I learn to find it back.

Maybe a jack of all trades master of none. Wouldn't say I've excelled in anything but I really like to try new things. Wouldn't say I make the most rational decisions but I like adventure.

I get a little suspicious if you tell me you don't enjoy food. I'll be merry if you teach me how to cook your favourite dish, and you can count on me to make a food party!

PHILOSOPHY

Go higher than high, go lower than deep, keep doing it wrong, keep singing along.
Take it as it comes, and well take only what you need.
Give me the coffee and nobody gets hurt.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first started CS as it felt like an interesting idea, and through my student days it was the only way I could have afforded to travel. And I've learnt that it's the best way to explore a place and its people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Generally movies and books that make you think, question, learn, appreciate. 'Turtles Can Fly' is one film that left me this way. I love discovering local music, dances, and instruments wherever I go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To have had balls to cycle Scotland one fine day, yes - cold, rainy, icy, mountainous Scotland - without any prior training. Coaxed a friend into buying a (steel) bicycle just the day before, watched youtube videos on "how to change inner tubes" at midnight, grabbed our bicycles and tent the next sleepy morning. And returned weeks later so fucking fit.

Teach, Learn, Share

"We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." - T. S. Eliot

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories on how I entered the Taj Mahal for free by persuading an Indian mafia to escort me in, or why I slept in a cave with a shepherd and 200 Himalayan goats?

I can share hitchhiking tips (yes, it works), and I like to think I can engage in a conversation on a variety of topics (no, not soccer). If all fails, I am also a professional dishwasher and will come in handy in your kitchen.
