Overview
About Me
Perhaps my favorite quotes will offer more insight into who I am and what I believe in than answering this question that is so broad...
hint: I am huge loveable book nerd.
"And the rest is rust and stardust."
- Vladimir Nabokov
"For you, a thousand times over."
- Khaled Hosseini
"At every moment of our lives we have one foot in a fairytale and the other one in the abyss."
-Paulo Coelho
"When something bothered me, I didn’t talk with anyone about it. I thought it over all by myself, came to a conclusion, and took action alone. Not that I really felt lonely. I thought that’s just the way things are. Human beings, in the final analysis, have to survive on their own."
— Haruki Murakami, Sputnik Sweetheart
"Do not discount the psychic warmth of the hive."
-Chang Rae Lee, On Such a Full Sea
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Someone quite enchanting once told me that if you don't have the time or motivation to read books, you should get to know people--- listen to them tell their story in just the only way they know how to- since they're the expert of their lived experiences! And perhaps, in all that listening and exchange of stories, we'll all be able to create mirrors and windows that reflect our common humanity while celebrating what makes us so distinct from one another.
