À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
I just want to see the world and meet some awesome people along the way
ABOUT ME
I'm a climber, a nature lover, straight edge (I don't drink alcohol or smoke), fruit and vegetable eating guy who loves anything against the social norm. My favorite smell is campfire.
PHILOSOPHY
Live your heart and never follow.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I do heavily enjoy hosting people and being hosted.
As of now because I work so much I barely have time to travel, but I'm hoping in a few years this will not be the case and I will have years of traveling!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I will be a lifelong couchsurfer/host. I used it a ton when I traveled across Northern Asia and Europe. Now it is my time to give back to Couchsurfers hoping to experience the North Coast of California.

Naomi Klein's The Shock Doctrine
John Perkins' Confessions of an Economic Hitman
Anything by Robert Fisk regarding the Middle East
Jon Krakauer's Into The Wild

Anything really, but I have grown up listening to heavy music. Hardcore, Metalcore, Deathcore, and Gangster Rap, but let's face it, I am an Indie kid at heart. I love Acoustic music, Folk, and Bluegrass as well.
Movies:
180 South is my favorite movie. If you haven't seen it, you will love it. How do I know you will love it? Because you are part of this website, automatically showing me that you have an open mind to the world and to new experiences :)
Other favorite movies include Y Tu Mama Tambien, A River Runs Through It, Greenstreet Hooligans, Children of Men, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I spent a month in Ecuador, have lived in Uppsala, Sweden for the past several months, but I would say the most epic thing I have ever done/seen took place back in near my hometown in Oakland, California. The summer of 2010, there was a riot due to a police officer shooting and killing a man in handcuffs laying face down on the ground (Oscar Grant). I saw pure anarchy that day, watching buildings being razed and fires being lit in the streets. It was one of the most interesting things I had ever experienced. Watching human beings feel overcome by pure emotion to want to destroy civilization. Pretty intense stuff. *Update: New most amazing thing I have ever done... I was in Egypt with one of my best friends during the revolution. Definitely one of the most powerful experiences of my life.
