ABOUT ME

I love...
I love trying new things and meeting new people. I love doing what I love and being with those who love me for me. I'll do anything once and good thing b/c I have this addiction to traveling. Can't seem to get stuck in one place for too long. If I say I will do something, all you have to know is that I will find a way.

I'm an under the radar bipolar in the sense that I am an adrenaline junkie who loves to do spontaneous and scary head first dives, but at times can just chill and do nothing but take in the amazing scenery. I am outgoing at times but also love to sit back and people watch.

I feel like I should grow up and do the adult thing and worry about my career but at the same time, I shouldn't waste my youth. I am single w/no kids, no one to answer to, no plans to work a 9 to 5, no desire to be bored to death. I do what I want and what I want is to live life to its fullest:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After arriving in France for my semester abroad, I picked up the Let's Go Europe book and the random page that I opened to described a place with gorgeous snow-capped mountains and extreme adventures. I knew right then and there that I would visit this place before I returned back to the U.S. So come March, my bff and I had a long weekend to travel, we packed our backpacks and grabbed our tent and the comforters off our beds and trained it to Interlaken, Switzerland. Little did we know but we were about to have an adventure of a lifetime. Our journey there consisted of a more indirect route but 3 transfers later, we pull into a station where it was misting and chillier than we would have liked. We didn't plan very well b/c as soon as we got off the train, we stood staring at this map of this little town perplexed as to how we were going to find a place to pitch out tent. I knew the names of the campgrounds but had no clue in which direction to walk. So my friend and I just started walking in the misty cold rain down one of the roads w/a tent in one hand our comforters stuffed in another and managed to find a little grocery store where we bought some bread, cheese, and wine. After asking for some help, we continued down the road and got to our destination. It was a tranquil campground w/only about 2-3 RVs at any given time during our 4 day stay. We strategically pitched our tent despite the rain so that when we crawled out of it in the morning, all we saw were the beautiful mountains. We utilized the TV room on the campground and relaxed a bit before we went out for the night to one of the nearby hostel bar/clubs. Our dinner consisted of bread and cheese and later on a bottle of wine. While we took a nap, our tent was leaking and soaking our "pillows" and sleeping bags (aka comforters). We contemplated packing up and booking a hotel instead but decided that a better way to overcome this obstacle was to bust out our bottle of wine which would then invoke our liquid jackets and go out and have a great time and come back to our tents not caring how wet it was because we would just pass out til morning. That's exactly what we did and I'm truly happy we did. I woke up sticky. And not from the rain but from being so hot in the tent. I imagined the sun was beating down on our tent and voila... it was. When I unzipped our tent, all I saw were blue skies and mountains we weren't able to see previously b/c of the gloomy weather. It was amazing out. We created a clothes line w/the extra strings from the tent and hung everything out to dry. Then we managed to find our way to an adventure booking agent and scheduled our first activity of bungy jumping. This was more than I could ever ask for. My first bungy was off a gondola above a pristine little lake set in the Swiss Alps. As your standing in the gondola all strapped in and about to jump, your hear the techno music blaring from the speakers and everyone's doing a countdown from 5 for you, there's no backing out and when they hit 1, you take a leap of faith. Your arms are spread, wind is rushing past your face and you hear nothing but the serenity of falling 400 feet towards the earth. Nothing else will compare to this experience. The next day, we rented bikes and rode around the city and got to smell the roses. We rode around this crystal blue lake and saw some waterfalls and ate some delicious sandwiches. Later we went canyoning w/AlpSurf. There was about 15 of us and 3 guides and an amazing canyon in which we descended by walking through the shallow parts, swinging around boulders, repelling down cliffs, sliding down the natural rock slides, and jumping into fresh churning pools of water. This was my favorite vacation yet.

I'm excited to get involved in this community and can't wait to spread the word of something worthwhile. Everyone should get involved and see the world and meet its people. It's great that no matter where we go, we will have friends to help us out and if not, we'll become friends:)
