ABOUT ME

One of the biggest decisions I've made so far in my life is to up-sticks and move to the other side of the world. So now I'm currently living in Tokyo Bay with my flatmate Emily... and it's the best decision I've ever made! We're both English teachers and it's the first time for both of us to live and work long-term in Japan.

I'm really enjoying working here, exploring Japan and meeting lots of cool people from all walks of life. I hope to continue meeting many more interesting travellers through couchsurfing and to swap and share travel stories...and perhaps a spot of karaoke too! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm fairly new to couchsurfing, although I've had a few hosting experiences in Japan through my flatmate Emily. All of the hosting experiences were great and this has encouraged me to join couchsurfing myself.

Interests

I love acting, drama, the theatre... in fact performing arts in general.

I like photography and would love to get better at it!

I have recently discovered a crazy passion for snowboarding and would go snowboarding every week if I had the power to change the weather :p

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading, especially the fantasy genre, and some of my favourite authors are Neil Gaiman (I love Stardust), Philip Pullman (His Dark Materials), Angela Carter and Haruki Murakami.

I love Studio Ghibli movies especially 'My neighbour Totoro', 'Spirited Away' and 'Kiki's delivery service'.

And some of my favourite movies are: Amelie, Pan's Labyrinth, The Goonies, Little Miss Sunshine, Be kind rewind...
