About Me

Keep an open-minded and kind heart as much as possible to embrace the difference and live sustainably :)

Currently working in China in footwear industry.
Genuine, curious and easy-going (Oh well seems most people in CS say that😄). I have a great enthusiasm for life, always ready for a bold mind to explore every little of my unknown. So, this crave of pursuit keeps leading me to travel. I am fascinated by traveling, which is an important part of exploring both myself and the world :)

The most thing I am drawn so much to traveling is meeting the differences, in cultures, in languages, in lifestyles, in ideas and thoughts, etc... Despite the differences that we all have, I believe the only thing that every part of world shares is LOVE, and just for this simple reason could make me devote myself to discovering every piece of it and keeping paying it forward.

I am more introspective, but a people person. I am a good listener and enjoy the moments of reflection. And I am also a genuine sharer, love sharing positive and optimistic inspirations in life.

I'm a native Mandarin speaker, fluent in English and conversational level in Spanish (keep improving haha)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

WHY I CHERISH COUCHSURFING SO MUCH

The way I think of couchsurfing has been transforming inside my heart, where it has led me closer to the person I want to be, a caring and loving person. As more I traveled and couchsurfed, I've realized more and more genuine interactions among people turns out to be friendships. Either a once-in-a-lifetime or lifelong friendship, this relationship and the sense of caring each other has once existed, and the breeze will flow all around the world, making the world a better place. (Does it make a bit sense? )

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first knew CS from a book when I was studying at the university but didn't dare to try. While my gap year in 2011, I signed up the account and gave it a shot in Australia. And since then, CS has kept surprising me with adventurous, grateful, blissful, connected and never-the-same journey since... :D

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOK
I enjoy my moments in reading. I don't have a specific preference for books because my taste changes from time to time. The book which has made a significant influence in my life is "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coehlo.
And "Open Veins of Latin America" by Eduardo Galeano is the second one that has a great impact on me orientation in life.

MOVIE
I am a big fan of movies. I like documentaries, dramas, inspirational movies, comedies, and sometimes a bit of romance are enjoyable hahaha
I'm not fond of horror and scary movies though (otherwise I would probably cover my eyes with endless screams haha)

MUSIC
I'm that type of person who can't live without music :P There's either music playing or playing in my head :D I sometimes just can't help singing or humming :P
I love reggae and Latin music in general, especially reggaeton (I love the beats and rhythm but the lyrics hmmm...)
I don't really have a list of favorites, just listen whichever it comes at that time. So far I haven't found right ears enjoying hard metal music, so if you have a good one, I am open to listen! Maybe it would change my impression :D

I play the percussion instruments (but haven't practiced for quite some years), I would love to share the music moments if you're interested :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every moment of living to the fullest is kind of amazing, isn't it :)
But if I really have to list down one, then it would definitely be
skydiving in Fox Glacier in New Zealand as a birthday gift for myself :P
two-day hike in Corcovado National Park in Peninsula de Osa in Costa Rica
Walked El Camino de Santiago (French route, but starting from Roncesvalles)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach-Learn-Share is an ongoing cycle, so I consider them the same thing :)

I'm always ready to learn/try new things. And I'm willing to share what I've learned so far. There are plenty and I just list down some of them:
- travelling
- sustainable and eco-living
- languages
- cultures
- volunteer
- sports: basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, baseball, swimming...
- cooking and invention of new recipe :P
- music / musical instrument
- not a good dancer (often step on my dancing partner's feet :p ), but I'm enjoying more the fun itself
- perspectives and inspirations in life :)
