ABOUT ME
Here are some words that apply:
independent, determined, well educated, friendly, world traveler, interested in languages and cultural exchange, curious about the world.
I work in commercial real estate and finance. I spend a lot of time being physically active. I've been dragon boating for about 1 1/2 years and practice 4 times a week. In addition I also practice with the OC1 (outrigger canoe.) I enjoy water sports ... anything from kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, SUP ... the list goes on. I also like going to the gym, hiking, biking, running etc.
I am German and am known to get along with people from all walks of life. I enjoy meeting people from different background. There's always something one can learn as well as teach.
I love music. One type of music in particular has moved me to take up dancing. Which one? Bachata :-)
I do like a good movie, but especially since we have 4 seasons here in New England I like to leave those for when it isn't so nice outside.
I've been in NE for the last 14 years, so I know my way around Boston and some of the suburbs
PHILOSOPHY
carpe diem / work to live not live to work
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I signed up for this website rather recently and I am interested in both hosting and being hosted. My schedule is a bit busy, but that doesn't mean we can't work something out. Flexibility is key :-)

Interests
Travel is my passion. I love sports - from dragon boating, kayaking, surfing, snorkeling, hiking, biking running etc. I also enjoy sightseeing, events, music, culture festivals and food.
7/30/14 I volunteered and learned a whole set of new skills by helping to build a house. Great experience. I absolutely enjoyed myself and am thinking about signing up again.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've got 35 different radio stations on Pandora ... I am subscribed to the Economist. I don't have much time to sit there and read, but while in transit I enjoy the audio version.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending 6 weeks in New Zealand was amazing. I rounded it off with 2 weeks in Bali. I've traveled a bit already but would love to travel to many more places
