About Me

Hello!!! Привет!!! Привіт!!!

My name is Tetiana, and I’m from Ukraine. I’m an easygoing and flexible person who loves adventures and thrives in unexpected situations. You can definitely call me spontaneous! I enjoy meeting new people and exploring different perspectives.

I’m open-minded, optimistic, and always on the lookout for new acquaintances. Life’s challenges don’t scare me—I embrace them. I love to laugh and have fun, but I’m also up for serious conversations when the time is right. And yes, I do ask a lot of questions, so get ready for that! 😉 Many friends say I’m brave, but I guess time will tell if that’s true. Oh, and my friends like to call me “Goat”—you’ll have to meet me to find out why!

A few important things:
1. I don’t smoke and I’m not a fan of being around smoke.
2. Just to be clear—I’m here to meet new people and share experiences, nothing more. I’m married now, and things have changed for me, so I’m not as active as I used to be. Let’s respect each other’s personal boundaries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I love connecting with people from all over the world. For me, it’s not just about finding a place to stay; it's about meeting new people, sharing experiences, and learning from each other. I believe that the best way to understand a place is through the eyes of the locals, and Couchsurfing gives me that unique opportunity.

Although I'm not as active as I used to be due to some changes in my life, including getting married, I still enjoy the occasional meet-up or hosting when I can. I value genuine connections, interesting conversations, and the chance to discover new perspectives.

Couchsurfing allows me to step out of my comfort zone and keeps my adventurous spirit alive, even when life gets busy. I’m here for meaningful interactions, not just travel tips, so if you're looking for the same, let’s connect!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My taste in music is quite diverse. I enjoy upbeat tracks from artists like Coldplay, The Weeknd, and Dua Lipa, as well as more mellow tunes from bands like Arctic Monkeys and Tame Impala. I also love discovering new indie artists and occasionally dive into some electronic music from artists like ODESZA. Music is a big part of my life, and I’m always on the hunt for new sounds—so feel free to share your recommendations!

Movies: I’m a fan of movies that make me think or surprise me with a twist. Some of my favorites include "Inception" for its mind-bending plot, "The Shawshank Redemption" for its inspiring story, and "The Grand Budapest Hotel" for its quirky style. I also enjoy watching thought-provoking documentaries and classic adventure films like "Indiana Jones." Not a fan of horror, though—I prefer my entertainment without the jump scares!

Books: I love books that inspire and challenge my thinking. Some of my favorites include "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho for its life lessons, "Sapiens" by Yuval Noah Harari for its deep dive into human history.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve had some wild moments! Like that time I thought jumping off a bridge with a giant rubber band (bungee jumping) was a great idea—crazy, but worth it! Then there was my cabin crew phase, where I got to travel the world while serving coffee at 30,000 feet, smiling through turbulence, and handling the occasional odd passenger request.

Oh, and let’s not forget my six-month marathon of working non-stop, fueled by caffeine and a questionable sense of ambition. I basically tried to see how far I could push myself before completely losing it. Spoiler: pretty far!

Each of these was epic in its own way, and they definitely made life interesting.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m excited to bring a bit of Ukrainian flair to your home! Here’s what I can share:

1. Stories and Laughs: I love sharing my travel adventures and hearing about yours. Expect plenty of laughs and engaging conversations—my stories are always a hit, especially the ones involving my bungee jumping escapades!

2. Cultural Insights: I can offer insights into Ukrainian culture, traditions, and maybe even teach you a few words in Ukrainian or Russian if you're interested.

3. Local Tips: If you're planning a trip to Ukraine or looking for travel advice, I can provide recommendations and tips based on my experiences.

4. A Fresh Perspective: I enjoy learning from others and sharing my own experiences, so I’ll bring an open mind and a willingness to engage in interesting discussions about anything from world travel to personal growth.

5. Good Vibes: While I might not be a chef, I can definitely offer great company, positivity, and a genuine interest in getting to know you and your city.

Let’s make some great memories together!
