About Me

I'm a nice person, a little bit shy and awkward, but I enjoy having conversations with people I meet in different places. I am very considerate and respectful with other people's privacy and belongings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to have a road trip on my way home, from Memphis, TN to Florida. Hopefully I'll be able to find a place to stay in between. I have been living in Memphis for work and now I want to enjoy my travel experience back to Florida. Specially, I want to see New Orleans and hang out in one of the beaches in the Panhandle of FL. It is very important for me to enjoy this road trip as it will be my last because once I am in FL I'll won't have a car and I will be moving to NY for school.

Interests

I am a dog person, but I don't have one right now :( . I love dancing, and Southern and Caribbean food. I would love to meet people in this road trip and enjoy experiencing new places. I have traveled to different countries, such as Spain, France, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Venezuela. I hope to travel to many more places.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music... I all over the place, but just to mention one, I'll say the Bebo and Cigala Album "Lagrimas Negras".
My favorite book might be the Little Prince, and I was a huge Harry Potter nerd. My favorite movie is Truly Madly Deeply (with Alan Rickman).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't say it's amazing because a lot of people have done it, but I guess I could mention I did Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic, as an Education Specialist. I worked with improving Literacy strategies in two school, and their communities, of a NGO.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can help people practice their Spanish. Maybe I can give them recipes for Puerto Rican dishes, and maybe practice cooking them. I could teach some Latin dance moves as well :P

Learn: I would like to learn local recipes. I will practice my English as always. Hopefully I will learn about local music, traditions, and possibly literature.

Share: Life stories :)
