Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

In 2018, after five years in the military I took a flight to Amsterdam and decided that I want to somehow get to New Delhi without taking any flights. I went up to Groningen and then south through Germany, I spent extensive time in Italy, visited the Balkans, spent almost a month in Ukraine, crossed Russia by train, then Mongolia and China. I spent a couple more months in Viet Nam and Thailand and a month in Myanmar. Then after a 20 hour long ride in the back of a van (was horrible) I got to the rarely opened India-Myanmar land border, which I crossed. I met a cow right at the border, then I met some more as I slowly progressed towards Delhi. After two months in India I went back to Israel, repacked my backpack and moved to the Netherlands where I have been studying neuroscience for the past five years. I learned a lot during my travels, had some great experiences and met some truly amazing people along the way.

I used to be a pretty hardcore cinephile but nowadays I don't have the time. I am also very much into books and poetry.

My favorite directors include: Richard Linklater, David Lynch, Steve McQueen, Von Trier, Paul Thomas Anderson, David Ayer, Kevin Smith, Matthew Vaughn, Hayao Miyazaki, Terrence Malick, Nicholas Winding Refn, Scorsese, Tarantino and of course Kubrick.

Some authors I like: Charles Bukowski, Khaled Hosseini, Joseph Heller, George RR Martin, George Orwell, George Orwell again, Douglas Adams, Lev Tolstoy, Hank Moody, Heinlein, Bret Easton Ellis and George Orwell.
