About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Create a space for beauty and growth

ABOUT ME

We (my roommates and I) seek fun and exciting adventures throughout this beautiful city! Crazy little projects are often involved.

Things that get me excited: natural building, alternative healing modalities, traditional foodways, backyard chickens, the Pacific Northwest. The following portion of my list has been brought to you by the letter F: farms, farmers, foraging, food forests. Also a great lover of Sesame Street, good beer, and my ginger grater.

PHILOSOPHY

Food Eaten Alone Is Not Delicious. (Lao proverb)

That's mine. My roomates disagree. Our house philosophy is that positive outward attitudes create positive change within.

The Devil Makes Three; Elliott Brood; Ben Folds; Cradle to Cradle; things by Michael Pollan; things by Charles Eisensten; Sir Albert Howard's treatise on soil health; things by Joel Salatin; Jiro Dreams of Sushi; When Harry Met Sally; music you can dance to, edward sharpe, magnetic zeros, xx.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yesterday I went for a run and I ended up foraging for the first time. I found wild leeks just a few blocks from my house, and I was totally wowed by nature's bounty and abundance...and how ignorant we are of what She has to offer.

As a kid, the planetarium show always got me, and it still does. It makes me feel so small and so aware of the vastness and incomprehensibility of the Universe.

Teach, Learn, Share

we can share gardening techniques (and would LOVE to learn more!), songs, good food. would love to learn hula-hooping, breakdancing, and how to make peppermint extract.
